Hey Tilly lovers! Welcome to my new website and blog. For awhile now I have wanted to launch both of these to have another way to connect with those of you who are loving my air plant terrariums.

So I'll start with a little bit about me. My name is Maddy and I am the creator and designer behind Living Kreativity. I started this business a little under one year ago just as something fun to do on the side. In the past year, it has really grown and although I continue to kind of just let it go where it chooses to go, I have chosen to focus on it more fiercely and see what I can make of it. It is still fun and I want to make sure it always stays that way for me. On top of this little business of mine, I also work full time in retail management, I love my job and I'm lucky that it has the flexibility to allow me to run my own business on the side. I am a proud dog mom to three pups - Peanut, Sonii and Zico. We also have two ferrets, Hardy and Bentley. My dream is to have a house in the country with lots of land for our pups to roam and be dogs. The most important part of my life is my family and they are my biggest support system, my cheerleaders.

My interest in Tillandsia plants started about six years ago when I saw these plants on Pinterest. They were so unique and whimsical looking and they were touted as super easy to care for. This sounded like the plant for me! I went to my local garden center and picked a few up. I added some sand and moss to a couple glass hangers like those pictured above and hung them in our bedroom. I love the vibe they give off and adding plants into your home decor has such a calming effect. When we first walked through our house, I knew that if we bought it, that window would be the perfect place for a hanging garden of air plants. Didn't it turn out great?! My friends and family loved it too, they encouraged me to share it with the world. So, I decided to give it a try. I started by designing terrariums for my friends, advertising on Kijiji and Facebook.. Then I did a couple craft shows and I received really great feedback. So I ran with it. I continue to grow this little business of mine everyday. I'm learning new things along the way and trying to find new ways of bringing these plants and their homes to you. I continue to learn new things about the air plants themselves too and I thought this blog would be a good way for me to share that information with not only my clients but fellow Tillandsia lovers too.

I hope to release a new blog post every week covering various topics, including how to care for your air plant, different varieties of air plants and other things that may be of interest to my fellow plant lovers. I invite you to email me if you have any questions about air plants or suggestions for topics you would like to see me cover. I also hope to have a shop set up on here one day soon so that you can order my creations online (this is still something I'm trying to wrap my head around as not all of my creations are viable to ship).
